ABOUT ME

Colombian interdisciplinary artist, choreographer, dramaturge, and performer, based in Canada, with more than twenty-nine years of artistic experience. Graduated in arts education and advertising, he also studied a Master's degree at the York University of Toronto. In 1997, he participated as a dancer in the Colombian-French project, "The Bridge". From 1998 until 2014 he was a member of the cast of the L'Explose Dance Company in countless works, performing in renowned festivals and theaters around the world.
In 2005 he was awarded the "UNESCO Ashberg" scholarship for choreographers, selected by the company Jean-Pierre Perreault, which led him to develop his artistic work in Montreal - Canada. In Canada, he has had the opportunity to work as a guest dancer in companies such as ParBleux, Newton Moraes Dance Theater, Kaha: wi Dance Theater, Alejandro Ronceria, and Olga Barrios Contemporary Dance.
As a creator, he has produced innumerable pieces and has been invited in countless collaborations and commissions in Canada, Brazil, Colombia, and Spain among others. His work is characterized by his research into the quality of movement and his particular aesthetic that he considers "Dance Installations".
He currently works as an independent artist and is interested in exploring the intersection between the human body, space, and perception, using dance, performance, and installation as primary media to create immersive experiences.
