PERFORMER

An experienced dancer, improviser, and performer for more than 20 years, trained in contemporary dance techniques, great skills in improvisation and dance contact, has worked in several well-known companies in Colombia and Canada.

L´EXPLOSE

In 1991 Tino Fernandez founded L'EXPLOSE in Paris, after intensive research into contemporary dance. He later moved to Bogota Colombia - South America, where he incorporated the company formally, continuing with his work of making dance-theater a stronger concept with greater depth.

 

The group was created in response to a particular need for expression, woven around the emotions rather than movement. The result is that their work involves crude and violent movements to express an encounter with reality, and rejects the coding of an intimate imaginary in the society of the artificial.

Originally, the company is a meeting between two young dancers, a desire to create, fix, adapt your environment to overcome it suits the needs of everyday life: furniture, cabinets, useless objects, transforming clothes, playing with his band in an old Revox, walls and objects to make life more enjoyable painting, but more importantly, a great friendship and affection built through shared and enduring work through the years.

 

In this way, the company OBJECT-FAX 1987 was born and was formed as an association in 1901 in Paris by the Colombian Ricardo Rozo and the Swiss Jean-Claude Pellaton.

“Amalgama” is an original choreography, inspired by the juxtaposition of the rhythms of drum culture and contemporary dance. An original composition based on the percussion tempos of Caribbean of Center and South America. For many cultures, drumming is the heartbeat of their culture and a testament to survival. It is the celebration of the human spirit.

 

“Amalgama” explore the complex changes of rhythms and the impact in the human body. 

 

“Amalgama” explore the relationship between traditional musical, urban ritual and contemporary dance.‎
